For students, the whole fun of bunking classes lies in the fear of getting caught by faculty members. Satyajeet, a student of XISS, says, "It's an altogether different feeling doing things that we are otherwise not allowed to do. Spending time with pals in canteens or going for shopping in nearby shopping complexes in between college hours has its own charm. Sometimes we bunk the whole day just to catch the latest movie. However, our bunking agenda list always includes a long drive on BIT Mesra campus along with hanging out in their canteen. These activities become more interesting during monsoon." Vickey Shah, a student from St Xavier's College, cites his reasons for bunking: "The lectures of some professors are so boring that sometimes we can't help but leave the class. I feel it is better to spend some hours with books rather than sleep in class just to mark attendance. Time is so precious that we can't afford to waste it in such a silly way," laughs Vickey. Another student from Ranchi College, Nishant Rai, says, "The famous parks of the city, be it Sido Kanho Park, Nakshatra Van or Rock Garden, all are near our campus. Therefore, they are our fave hangout joints."
